There are so many swimsuit styles available, but what's really the difference between them? Well, here's the essential guide to finding the best style for you. Whether you're an active squad swimmer, leisure swimmer, or simply swim for fitness, we want you to feel completely comfortable so you can concentrate on what's important. Enjoying the water!
BACK STYLES
Firstly, let’s look at our back styles. We have a whole range of differing back styles, that are designed to either allow freedom of movement and security in the water or those that are designed for to support you.
Generally, those designed with movement in mind are often used by people who swim for fitness or more active swimmers whether in a pool or the open water. The styles designed for support are worn in more of a leisure setting. However, at the end of the day, you should wear the one you are most comfortable with!
Actionback / Powerback / Speedback are great designs for those that need movement, as well as bust support. Featuring a shelf bra for light support and modesty, as well as wider straps for a secure fit. Available in classic Cottesloe style in Black or Navy as well as fashion prints such as the Oliver Actionback or Bolt Speedback. Plus they are all made with our chlorine proof, techno fabric Ecolast +! View the range here.
Our Triback & Sprintback styles provide great freedom of movement for active swimmers. These cutaway styles with thin straps are ideal for a more athletic physique. View the styles here.
If you were to imagine a classic swimsuit, you would probably imagine one with a Scoopback. One of our most popular designs the Scoopback is known for suiting all body shapes. As an added treat, it also comes with adjustable straps for additional comfort. Because it's so popular, we have both a curved Scoopback and a V scoopback in our range. View here.
Although it doesn't sound like a back design, Openbacks can provide more coverage around the front (especially with the Hi Front), whilst allowing for a more exposed back. These styles can include a clip fastening or fabric tie to keep you secure. View range here
There are other features you should consider when purchasing swimsuits, such as do you need tummy control or do you need extra support in your swimsuit? Check out our Fit Guide for more information on our swimsuit features.
