What is your favourite Zoggs product?
Zoggs Predator Flex Reactor Titanium goggles.

Most memorable swim?
Ironman 70.3 Honu, Hawaii. It was a deep water start off a beach that was in part of a nature reserve. Crystal clear water, I came out of the water in great position and I even managed to see a turtle near the last buoy.

Where is your favourite place to swim?
I would have to say either North Sydney Pool or ocean swims over at Shelly Beach near Manly.

Favourite event?
Ironman 70.3 World Championships 2015 in Zell am See, Austria.

What are your training must haves?
Clean goggles, my swim bag with kick board/paddles/pool buoy as well as a dry towel for afterwards (especially in winter).

How did you start your athletic journey?
I was always an active kid growing up, with swimming and running coming very naturally to me. After a series of unfortunate injuries over a 2.5 year period I started training for triathlons and have been hooked ever since.

How do you prepare for an event?
Usually I will try and relax and get my gear ready. I also always make sure I fit in a swim and use it as a last opportunity to check the course/conditions as well as locate a few features to help sight off during the race.

What advice would you give to someone looking to compete in an Ironman?
Small steps. I’ve learnt in this sport that everything takes time and no amount of over-training will get you up to speed. You have to make a plan, put in the hard yards and then trust the work you have done on race day.
